Sommelier, certified DiSC coach, craft beer fanatic & wine person at Veinikino From dishwasher to kitchen help to waiter to supervisor to sommelier to service manager to restaurant general manager. 17 years later I think I can say a know a thing or two about hospitality and the world of beverages. I truly enjoy doing tastings and training. To beverage fanatics and hospitality personal alike. I've noticed that the world of beverages tends to make peoples head spin. They are afraid to ask due to fear of seeming stupid. People tend to stay in their comfort zones, missing out on exciting new experiences that the food and beverage world has to offer. Beverage world is huge and the amount of details to consider for making a good recommendation is no smaller. It's a complex topic, but well worth discovering. Therefor I'd like to inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new tastes.
Beer sommelier My journey in the world of beer started back in 2016, in a small beer bar named Koht. I remember naively thinking "how hard can this beer stuff be?" Slowly, but surely work became a hobby that turned into kind of a lifestyle. Years of developing my skills and learning - from Estonian Grand Old Lady of beer, Kairi-Kaia Truusa - has brought success in local and international competitions. In 2018 I was awarded 3. place at Estonian Best Beer Sommelier competition and 2019 I won 3. place at Nordic Cup Cicerone. I believe that in order to understand what's in your glass you need to use your nose and taste the beverage. And even the most complicated questions can have simple answers. Aside from multiple personal projects, I'm also a member of women's beer club Õllenäkid, that hopes to popularise consumption of good quality beers and helping consumers make knowledgable beverage choices.
